Happy New Year, from our family to yours!
Merry Christmas, from our family to yours!
Happy Thanksgiving, from our family to yours!
Today, I am grateful for laughter. There was a long time where it was hard to find joy in anything. To be able to laugh and have fun with my family and friends is a gift.
Every Year, I want to lead up to Christmas, to explain the true reason for celebrating Christmas, with my kids. And every year, I slack off on planning ahead. (Yikes)
Join us, for our first time, taking the 25 Days, leading up to Christmas to learn and celebrate Jesus being the Reason for the Season.
Follow Along, this week to find where we got our Advent Calendar and What Bible Verses we will read on each day, and what conversations we plan on having with our kids.
Day 2: Family
Today, we are spending time with family. I’m so thankful for this weekend to make memories, and for traditions with family.
Will you join me on this journey of 30 Days of Thanksgiving?
Jump in at anytime. You can catch up all in one post, journal, or telling someone what you’re thankful at anytime.
Day 1: Top Button Bottoned
In 2014 I went to the first of many conferences my church, at the time, held. And one of the speakers was telling her story…in her illustration, she referred to her relationship with God being like that of putting on a man’s buttoned-down shirt. Once you get the top button buttoned, and the rest fall into place.
To this day, that story comes to mind often.
So, in spirit of the Holiday season…I want to take this first day to get my top button buttoned.
Will you join in with me?
Feel free to post, write in a journal, or share with someone today why you are thankful for God. Or perhaps, something else weighs on your heart to be thankful for. Share that!
Today, I am thankful for the character of God and who He is.
I’m thankful he is a loving, kind, unchanging, gracious God.
Happy Halloween, from my family to yours.
As October is ending, and November is nearing…I’d love to set a vision for the month of November.
Years ago, I would notice people posting “Thankful for” posts…and I felt convicted that if I were to ever do that, I would need to get my heart in place the rest of the year, that way when November rolled around, I could do the same…and from a truly thankful heart. So, I worked all year to be more thankful and grateful.
And now, November is one of my favorite times of the year…
I look forward to posting things I am thankful about.
Will you join me on this challenge, and bring light and thanksgiving to those in your community?
Starting with Post One on November 1st and the last post on November 30th.
Let’s get our hearts ready for the season.
